What is Evola?
Evola (http://www.h-invitational.jp/evola/) provides ortholog information between human and fourteen vertebrates. Ortholog is a pair of genes in different species that separated from a common ancestor by speciation. In Evola, orthologs identification is conducted by the computational analysis based on the similarity of genomic and amino acid sequences. The orthologues are also manually curated with molecular evolutionary analysis through the comparison between the species tree and the gene tree. Evola also features the comparison of alternative splicing variants between human and the vertebrate orthologues. [ Sample ]
Evola is available for free of charge. Please cite this publication, if you use Evola.

* Numbers of "Genes" and "Human genes" are usually different because, besides one-to-one orthologs, one-to-many or many-to-many orthologs may exist.
